SCHELL makes an impression as a future employer at Olpe’s Vocational Training Fair
3-minute read
The SCHELL Team showcased the company as part of the two-day 2023 Olpe Vocational Training Fair, held on the premises of Olpe Town Hall. Our team was happy to find themselves in great demand at the fair. Recruitment officer Claudia Eichert reports: “Our stand was very well-attended and we had several interesting chats with potential candidates. Nor was this only because of the fresh popcorn on offer – people were really interested in our many options for training.”
On the Tuesday and Wednesday, from 18 to 19 April, we joined some 70 other exhibitors to talk about the topic of career entry. At the SCHELL stand in Tent 2, Claudia Eichert was joined by Anna Lena Ewert and Jonas Stahl – two of our current trainees acting as spokespersons on the day. Our apprentices provided a first-hand and authentic perspective on the company as an interesting place for prospective trainees, and explained the key advantages that training offers trainees and dual-study students.
Based in the Sauerland (NRW), SCHELL is a family-run business now in its third generation and has enjoyed the position of global market leader in angle valves for many years now. “As an employer, we are known as a ‘home from home’ in the region: young people can now choose between six vocational training careers and two dual-study courses at our company. This means we offer a wide range of flexible options within a modern, digital and forward-looking environment,” explains Claudia Eichert.
After talking to our team, visitors to the stand went away with more than just good advice, each being presented with a bag full of informative material as well as our popular giveaways.
Training places are still available for 2023: more information about an apprenticeship at SCHELL can be found on our Careers Portal.
