VITUS – wash basin taps

Based around a standard tap body, the VITUS wash basin tap family offers customers more than 50 different versions to choose from. Whether for mixed water or with a thermostat, whether featuring manual, self-closing or electronic triggering – optimum hygiene for users and drinking water was the focus when developing the VITUS family. This makes models in this family ideal for use in healthcare, such as in hospitals or nursing homes. The robust, all-metal body easily handles even heavy, constant use. The electronic versions in the VITUS family offer the option of automated stagnation flushes. SCHELL VITUS shower fittings are also available to ensure the uniform appearance of sanitary installations.

Perfect for challenging areas

The electronic versions of the VITUS wash basin taps are especially suitable for use in high-traffic, (semi-)public installations where the most stringent standards need to be met in terms of sanitary facility hygiene. Offering low-contact or even fully contactless actuation, these models minimise the risk of contact infections. The flow times can be adjusted to the specific requirements present on site.

VITUS fittings are also available with a thermostat: with a temperature lock and a safety lock if the cold water line fails, this protects high-risk individuals from scald injuries in challenging areas such as nursing or kindergartens.

The VITUS family offers a wide range of actuation options, including triggering via an infrared sensor or CVD touch electronics, a self-closing mechanism as well as rotary knobs and medical elbow action levers – the right version for any requirement.

Programming

Simple setup and control

For greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness, electronic fittings can be easily networked with the SCHELL water management system SWS. SCHELL SWS offers centralised programming, control and monitoring for the fittings. Stagnation flush operations can also be logged.

The parameters for these operations can be conveniently set using Schell Single Control (SSC) – with the SSC Bluetooth® module, for example, and the app for iOS and Android.

Building certification

Meeting the BREEAM and LEED criteria

SCHELL fittings are economical by nature. By changing out the flow regulator, the fittings can also be quickly and easily modified to the flow volumes required for building certification to the LEED or BREEAM standards.
